This Friday at 7PM, we’ll gather at my house for some XBOX fun! We’ll have some Pizza and drinks prior and then jump right in with some games.
Feel free to bring other young people – friends, family, etc. but remember there is no need to bring anything but yourself and maybe a controller if you have one
If you have questions, need a ride or need directions, feel free to call me directly.
Man! I’ve heard this sung before but wow did they rock this song out. Warmin Up is a powerful song that is so true – were just warmin up until we meet the other side.
I just ran across this song and I couldn’t hold back the tears that flooded my eyes because this song is so true and such a testimony. Sis. Priscilla McGruder has recently passed away and will be dearly missed and greatly remembered by many lives she touched through her powerful & anointed singing and preaching/teaching.
The McGruder’s have been a blessing to my life since I was just a little kid. I remember when I was going through one of the hardest times in my life, all I could do was listen to their singing over and over again – many nights that I couldn’t sleep I would turn them on and a peace would cover me to sleep. I love anointed singing – it’s the only way to go for me.
Sis. McGruder we miss you but know that you have ran a good race and kept the faith and are now enjoying your reward – we love you.

One of my favorites, Gordon Mote, singing I Know Somebody Who Does which is really a great song. It’s great living for the Lord because no matter what you face you always know somebody that can handle and fix whatever it is your facing. Jesus always fills in the gaps of our life – so it really does not really matter what you know as long as you know Him.
I guess it’s been about three weeks now since I first heard this song when I found it on YouTube and ever since that time I have had something very heavy on my heart. Last night I preached a message untitled “Slow Fade” and used this song as a base referencing the actual lyrics of the song and how powerful they were.
People never crumble in a day. It’s a fact of the physical life and even applies to the spritual life that people never lose out with God overnight but it’s rather a slow fade. A lot of times we see one meet a new friend or get a new job and it seems that is the cause for their slipping away but in truth the slipping away started a long time ago when they lost their prayer life.
We must understand that we do not succeed in the Lord overnight and we will NOT fall overnight but rather it will happen very slowly – sometimes so slow that it’s hard to even see ourselves falling. I encourage you today to take another look at your life and make sure your not slowly fading, make sure that your passion is not slowly fading away because once the devil has your passion, he’s got you where he wants you.
I hope you enjoy the music video of Casting Crowns singing ‘Slow Fade’.
The first weekend of November 2009 Christ Temple Church will be hosting a youth revival with Evangelist Cortt Chavis and I encourage each of you to attend. We’ve been having some wonderful service here in Arizona and I just can’t wait to see what God has planned for us!
When: November 5th & 6th Time: 7 PM Nightly Where: Christ Temple Church Who can attend: Anyone, yes this is a youth revival but we encourage everyone that can to be there to back up our young people – we need prayer warriors, alter workers and worshipers to be examples to our young people.
After service Friday night…
…there will be a lock-in until 12 am that includes food, games and fellowship. Please come dressed for church for the service but you may bring a change of clothes afterward. The cost is $5 each but if your part of The Lighthouse Church then our youth department is covering you for this event – just bring yourself.
